Campaign Story

Hi, we’re Beatriz and Melissa. We’ve built a beautiful life together, and now our biggest dream is to expand our family. Like so many couples, we’ve spent years imagining the moment we could hold a child we have brought in this life together—and we’re ready to take the next step to grow our family.

As a same-sex couple, our path to parenthood comes with unique challenges. We’ve both worked hard—I work full-time, and Melissa serves our community as a police officer—but neither of our health insurance plans cover fertility treatments. That means every step, from consultations to procedures like IUI or IVF, donors, etc, will be entirely out-of-pocket. We’ve been saving what we can, but the costs are overwhelming, and without extended family nearby to lean on, we’re navigating this journey largely on our own.

We’re reaching out with humble hearts to ask for your support. Any contribution you can make will go directly toward the medical costs of fertility treatments, bringing us closer to welcoming our little bundle of joy. We believe deeply in the strength and love of our community, and we’re hopeful that, together, we can make this dream a reality.
